Who You Are
You are a DevOps Engineer with strong experience operating Kubernetes-based environments and supporting engineering teams through complex operational challenges. You work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure stability, consistency, and efficiency across EKS workloads, with a focus on structured processes and platform standards.
You approach operations with a mindset centered on continuous improvement, automation, and operational discipline.
How You Will Make Impact
You will act as the primary operational partner for engineering teams, helping diagnose and resolve complex issues within the Kubernetes and EKS environment. Your work will focus on improving reliability, optimizing workloads, and strengthening governance through defined standards and policies.
Your impact will be measured through improved operational efficiency, reduced recurring issues, and better-controlled platform behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary operational expert, collaborating directly with internal engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex challenges within the Kubernetes environment.
- Proactively analyze recurring operational issues to identify underlying patterns and propose and implement strategic improvements to processes, tooling, and systems.
- Partner with EKS technical leads to execute experiments in development environments to determine the resource requirements of various workloads.
- Develop and implement automation for EKS workload configurations to ensure consistent operation within defined acceptable parameters.
- Refine and define the acceptable set of alerts and notifications for all EKS workloads, creating a structured taxonomy based on compute patterns such as web, event processing, and API servers.
- Participate in defining and documenting EKS standards and developing platform governance policies.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK stack.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience working with AWS environments.
- Experience scripting and automating tasks using Python.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience using Go or Bash.
